Skull Tales: Full Sail! Is a pirate life simulator, a role-playing game that also has miniatures. The miniatures are an important part of the game given that they improve the gaming experience visually, but it is only one of the many components in the game and expansion: more than 400 cards, more than 200 tokens, more than 240 pages of text between rulebooks, campaigns, tiles, etc.
The intention during Skull Tales’ crowdfunding campaign has always been to offer backers a great amount of quality content at a very low price, offering great value to the backers for their money with medium-high quality figures. The miniatures are made of resin, processed manually, they are very different from plastic miniatures, with higher detail and improvements for those who want to paint them, but the downside is that they are less uniform among them. Since they are craft products, there may be minor differences, it’s perfectly normal, sometimes they will be extremely detailed (start of the mold) and sometimes they will have lower details (end of the mold).
We never had the intention of creating a set of miniatures for collectors, or for miniature-painting aficionados. We have tried to offer the highest possible quality, and the widest range of miniature types possible, even though that increased production costs.
We would have loved that every miniature in every box had excellent detail definition, with no burrs or detail loss, but during manufacturing, this has not always been possible.
That is why Eclipse Editorial is studying each incident with the miniatures that you have forwarded to us, case by case to replace objective manufacturing issues in the figures, not just aesthetic matters such as burrs or lack of definition. It is not possible to replace a miniature because it is less detailed than another, we feel that the quality of our average miniature is far above the market at their price range, given the hundreds of components in the box.
Thank you for your understanding,
